The Google Play Store finally activates the dark mode.

What a mess we are in with the Play StoreGoogle has been changing its design so much in the last few months, that every time we went in we saw it in a different way. What if Material Design theme, Material design again, classic look, Material Design? And today we have entered and we already had the dark modeFor how long? Only Google knows.

That's right, dark mode is finally expanding to users beyond a first initial test. We have been able to test it on several of our phones: the light backgrounds change to dark gray. if the phone has the dark theme enabled at the interface level. In addition, there is another limitation, at least according to our tests.

To use the new dark theme of Google Play Store you only need Android 10 and have the dark mode enabled on your phone

The Play Store is being rolled out to all users, but still continues with the limitation of early testing: at least in principle, Android 10 is required. This significantly limits its use since this version of the system is not yet widespread, as is usually the case during the first few months after launch.

You don't have to do much: all you have to do is activate your phone's mode (remember, it is mandatory Android 10), access the Google Play Store and, automatically, you will enter dark mode. The change is simply aesthetic as there are no new features in terms of functionality or design changes of the interface components.

As Google is accustomed to, the dark mode of the store does not have a black background because the color is a dark gray. The icons appear in a light gray; with an Android green color (10) for the accent tones; with red being reserved for the accent of Play Movies and blue for Play Libros.

You don't have to do anything: the gearbox is automatic. We hope that it will soon come to more system versions, which many cell phones with Android 9 foot also feature dark mode as standard.
