You can still register for the 'Benito Juárez' scholarship that AMLO's government will grant starting in January.

The support is aimed at all those young people who attend high school in a public school.

Mission: Prevent School Dropout

Only 7 out of 10 young people between the ages of 15 and 17 have the opportunity to study at the high school level. However, 38% of students who drop out of school attribute it to lack of economic resources. For example, in the 2016-2017 cycle only 59% of those who should have completed their studies concluded their studies.

Dropping out of high school is a risk factor for young people and exposes them to violence and crime. School is a safe place where they can develop their full potential.

The "Benito Juárez" Scholarship Program for Welfare in Higher Secondary Education will provide financial support to students who are attending high school in a public school in order to reduce school dropout rates.

It will also seek to promote the participation of beneficiaries in activities for the improvement of their community, contributing to their human development, strengthening their identity with their social environment and promoting national pride.

Requirements

You only need to be enrolled in a public institution of higher education in the Mexican Republic.
Not be receiving any other type of scholarship or incentive for high school students from the federal government.
Give your data in your Educational Center to the volunteers (directors, workers, academics and students) who will carry out the Benito Juárez Scholarship Census for the Wellbeing of Benito Juárez.
When required, you must verify and update your identity and enrollment, as well as provide the documentation requested by the scholarship team that will visit you at your school or through the digital platform.
