To do this you will need an app. Go to the Google Play Store and search for Fake GPS. This will open up a variety of apps to choose from.
We've seen a few apps in the Play Store that claim to still work, but reviews indicate that they are only compatible with certain phones or are now unreliable. It's worth doing some research to see if you can find one that matches your particular setup.
One application that seems to work is Fake GPS Location Spoofer (£2.99), but it requires root access. There's a free edition for regular phones, but this uses the Mock Location setting, so it won't do any good when it comes to Pokemon Go. If you don't have the developer options already enabled, you will need these as well, as the app will explain. To enable them, go to the Settings menu and go to the bottom of the list until you find the About Phone section. Tap this and then go to the bottom of the list below until you find the Build number. Tap this repeatedly, it takes about seven or eight presses, and you'll be told that Developer mode has been enabled.
Return to the Settings menu and scroll down to the bottom where you will see the Developer options. Tap this, scroll to the Debugging section and look for the Select Location Simulation application.
Tap this and then select FakeGPS Free from the list of applications that appears.
Now go back to Fake GPS Location Spoofer and the screen will display a map of your current location. To change your location, double tap the place on the map where you want to place the GPS and tap the Play button in the lower right corner.
