Spotify Lite a test. Please share your feedback, so we can make it even better.

Spotify is the latest to join the set of apps that created their lighter 'Lite' versions. A data-friendly version of its music streaming app for Android devices finally appeared.
That's particularly important for cheaper smartphones, which tend to have less memory, and people who use metered mobile data. On that note, the app is only 15MB in size, as opposed to the 100MB of Spotify's main app, and it also tracks how much data the app uses each month.

However, the app is only being tested in Brazil: tough luck if you live elsewhere and want to get it, although Android Police got hold of an SDK which it said shows that the app lacks some key features.
This apparently includes, or does not include, offline playback and Spotify Connect for streaming to other devices.
It appears that Lite app users cannot select specific songs and instead must rely on the shuffle button, even if they are Spotify Premium subscribers.
Of course, the application is in beta now, so the list of missing features may change when it is released worldwide.
For now, app tracking firm Sensor Tower suggests that Spotify Lite has accumulated only 4,000 downloads, so this is a test implementation.
"At Spotify, we conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of those tests end up paving the way for our broader user experience and others serve only as important learning.
We will not comment on specific tests at this time," a spokesperson told TechCrunch.

The company has tested other apps on Android in the past, such as Spotify Hopper in 2016, and more recently, a slimmed-down radio app called Spotify Stations.
Spotify Lite is not the first time Spotify has helped its users save on data consumption.
The company added a low data mode to its service in April as part of a broader product launch focused on providing more value to its free tier users.
The Lite app could add another element to attract more users, giving Spotify an additional competitive edge over rivals like Apple Music and Pandora.
