Recently, a call was made to the beneficiaries of the Prospera program, which will now be called "Bienestar", to inform them that the aid will now be provided directly through "Bienestar Cards" that will be delivered to the beneficiaries at their homes.

It was indicated that in the next few days the new cards will begin to arrive at their homes, with which they will be able to go to the Bank to collect the support from the Bienestar program;

They will not have to attend the meetings that the vocales used to convene in health centers, police stations and other facilities where they were given the necessary procedures,

Some of them charged a commission to the beneficiaries, in addition to the fact that sometimes they deceived them by saying that the funds did not reach them and that they were collected by other people.

The periods of support delivery will also be updated, so the amount of $1,600.00 bimonthly will be paid for the first two months of 2019, leaving without effect the previous and pending as a "clean slate".

Bansefi, which will become the Banco del Bienestar, has produced and delivered to beneficiaries the first official cards through which the resources of the federal government's various social programs will be dispersed. The "Tarjeta" is manufactured by Mastercard.

It was emphasized that there will be no more appointments for marches in health centers or municipal police stations, nor healthy control appointments or informative workshops, since the purpose of the Mexican Government is to eliminate all types of intermediaries so that the support reaches the recipients through bank deposits.

They will be valid until 2025 and instead of the beneficiary's name, they will bear the legend "Tarjeta para el Bienestar" (Welfare Card) together with the seal of the Mexican Government.

Since September of last year, the President announced that the Banco de Ahorro Nacional y Servicios Financieros (Bansefi) would change its name to Banco del Bienestar del Pueblo.

(National Savings and Financial Services Bank).
