Apple AirPower wireless charging in production

AirPower Apple's long-delayed wireless charging mat.

It could finally be in production, if rumors are to be believed. The word comes via a tweet from ChargerLAB (through MacRumors ), which says it has learned from a "credible source" that Apple has begun manufacturing the long-delayed wireless charging platform.

The expired Product could finally reach the hands of consumers in a short time.

At the time, Apple did not announce a price, only that it was expected to be released sometime in 2018.

Apple was having technical problems with the device , mainly that it was overheating.

due to the complexity of the requirement to charge three different devices at once. More recently, analysts predicted that Apple expected to have the device available to consumers in late 2018 or early 2019.

Apple is also rumored to be releasing an updated version of its AirPods sometime this year , specifically with wireless charging support, which fueled some rumors that it was delaying the update until the AirPower mat was available.

MacRumors noted that there have been reports that Apple has overcome the technical challenges it faced with the device.

If what you say ChargerLAB is correct, that could mean that we will see more about them in the near future.
